Have some P1 students that want to get some flights in early before 30% chance of thunderstorms this PM.

Pressure gradient is -.12″ and NBR showing west winds although pressure is rising at local airports but mostly cloudy! When will up slope start?

Will start with them at 7AM with ground handling and flying later?

Pressure gradient -.14″ and NBR showing west winds.  Local forecast calling for west winds to decrease and switch to east by 9AM.  Sunny skies should then give active conditions my midday as on Sunday.  While waiting, take a look at Sunday’s video.

Winds light and variable. We will start at 7:30 AM.

Sunny skies and low humidity should make for active conditions this afternoon Pressure gradient   -.15″ but NBR already showing up slope flow. Cool temperatures now and expected 30 degree increase will give many thermals.

Calling for west winds on Sunday so today it the day to fly! We will start P1’s at 7:30AM.

Tuesday before the storm

Today looks like the best time to fly as Wednesday looks very wet. Pressure gradient -.14″ and NBR showing light and variable winds. Sunny and low humidity now but clouds and rain later today may deter flying so this morning looks best. No P1’s so let me know when you want to start. I have 2 tandems starting at 10AM.

Jet stream over CO and strong winds aloft.  NOAA weather radio calling for NW winds.  Can I do ground handling with P1’s this afternoon?
