Pressure gradient -.01″ and NBR showing light and variable winds. Approaching NW cold front will cause SW flow this afternoon. Local forecast shows west winds by noon.
No P1’s so let me know when you are ready to start. Starting at 7AM!
Pressure gradient is moderate @ -.12″ but clouds and strong winds aloft—-jet stream is right over us—-indicate the strong westerly winds in mountains now will move down here later today when the inversion breaks.
Will weekend look better? Local forecast shows west winds both days.
Pressure gradient -.2″ and NOAA calling for west winds this afternoon. Local forecast calls for westerly winds all day and up slope on Sunday. Winds aloft are also strong.
Looks like a good morning for ground handling before strong westerlies in afternoon.
Let me know when you want to work on your ground handling this morning.
Pressure gradient -.19″! NBR reporting strong westerly winds. Temperatures to be 100+! TFR for Boulder Flagstaff Fire. Need I say more?
I will update site blog when I find out exact location of TFR. Looks like we are not in TFR at Boulder site but do not fly XC south!
Pressure gradient -.18″ and both NOAA weather radio & Aviation Weather Forecast calling for west winds and thunderstorms for Thursday and Friday. NBR showing strong west winds.
Weekend looks better,
A NW cold front entering Colorado
NOAA weather radio and Broomfield Aviation Weather are calling for strong westerly winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. Glad we flew yesterday as Thursday looks like the next flyable day.
Friday looks like west winds with a pressure gradient o f-.13″ and Aviation weather calling for west winds all day. Strong westerly winds already exist in the mountains. Winds aloft at 9K are strong at 18 kt and at 12K 29 kt!
Saturday looks much more favorable with easterly winds forecast as high pressure builds in the area?
With negative pressure gradient of 0.13″ and light west winds at NBR conditions do not look good for flying on Sunday. NOAA weather radio is calling for west winds this PM and Monday so things will not get better. Perhaps Wednesday?
